I was still asleep when my system polled the Fido host and when I
downloaded the QWK packet to my OLR I didn't react to any special
delay.

My only reaction came when I noted that there were 100 messages in the
OS2 echo but soon I found out that they had nothing to do with OS/2.

really? someone upstream from me must have stopped them, then... unless maybe you feed from the system that did the spewage? my main system only got 500 of them and that's all that it was able to pass on to my downlinks...

100?? that's all you got?? there were over 500 really ;) but yes,

Maybe some were dupes and got sorted out or maybe somebody has a roof
set to how much is forwarded in a single echo.
