    Hi...

I run a DOS-based BBS under OS/2 with Telnet access via SIO 2K, and was wondering if theres any way to improve the Telnet "lagging", or is this just a problem with SIO itself?

it is not, TTBOMK, a SIO problem... it is simply something that has been around
for a long time and doesn't rear its head until one takes a really good look at
    it...

think about it this way... TCP/IP stuffs are packet based... 1540 bytes (IIRC)... whereas PSTN/POTS/DIALUP stuff is on a dedicated circut that is not shared by anything... what you have is a shared 1540 byte packet circut compared to a whatever byte dedicated circut...

    see the picture now? ;)
