• Squish for Win?

From Alan Ianson@1:153/757 to All on Thursday, December 22, 2005 14:35:43
    Hello All,

I used to have a Y2K version of squish for windows but I can't seem
to find it, or remember where I got it. I think the filename was
squ111n2.zip. Anyone have this file or know where I can get it?

I don't think it was an official release so it may be hard to find
    now.

Anyone ever use this version and can tell me if it works OK? I
    never did use it myself.

    Ttyl :-),
    Al

I have the OS/2 and DOS versions available on my bbs. A quick search did not find the Win32 build of this version. In the back of my mind, I think I remember something about this being a "private" distribution when it was first released, and then a while later made "public"....

I don't think it was an official release so it may be hard to find
    now.

If a Win32 specific version was compiled, I should have access to it, either in
an off-line archive area on my computer, or at one of the max web sites. I think I have an off-line copy of the old max support web site....

I believe I'm using the OS/2 version of this build. You are welcome to log in on my bbs and search my old message archives to see if something pops up about this build and NT.... Please leave a log out message requesting access.... I may need to tweak my control files and/or your account for accessing the TUB and MUFFIN echos here. [These echos were restricted to sysops at one point in the past....]

Do you have the tools needed to compile from source code? Source is now available from http://maximus.sourceforge.net . Scott's original archive is the OS/2, DOS and Win32 code. Some of us now have the code compiling under Linux, but we don't have a developer set up to compile the OS/2, DOS and Win32 stuff. I think there is another person who has compiled an Win32 version from source.....

    Take care.....
