What do you folks use to compress and decompress zip files today?
One of my links is having problems with my inbound mail archives being renamed to bad because pkunzip is running out of memory.
I suggested that infozip's zip and unzip might work better on his 32
bit windows setup but I am not sure if that is true or not since I use linux. I use infozip's zip and unzip here.
I am also not sure of the command line for compress.cfg for infozip so
if you could post your command line and comments on the above it would be appreciated.

Yep, that works well for me.
Benny, step back from that precipice. You are going to get hurt!
Old software may or may not work as expected on a newer OS.. :)
Odd, I don't see your zoo command!

why can't you just set the archiver to NONE for them and send them
raw PKTs?

We could do that, mark - but it's hiding the problem rather than
solving it!!

i have no problem with people not using it
no it really is that simple, ask the sender to not pack if he cant
use updated software
it does not matter if using windows xp or worse windows 95, with
dual OS/2 installed :)

It's an option, of course - and given the size (small) of today's
packets, not much implication for bandwidth. It just goes against the grain! :-)
i just can't justify the CPU wastage... especially when looking at[...]
stats like this...
Inbound packets : 274214

You make a good argument, mark!!
