Anyone know how to reset the password in PX? ever since i did the upgrad ->can get into it. ThanksWhat password are you referring to?
Sam Penwright
in pxtools when you you try to use editor it asks for a username and
did either when i try to run the batch screen comes up the disappears
Hello Sam,
PXW capitalizes the password so your Wildcat password should be all Capital Letters & Numbers.
Latest Internet Rex is v2.31 which was a beta.
did either when i try to run the batch screen comes up the disappearsI have Internet Rex v2.31 using PXW v7.0 and WINS v8.0 all working ok using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
Its been so long since i ran wildcat that I forgot that.
Okay something is a foot with irex then 2.99 worked great on 6.4 Ill
see if i can find 2.31 and see if it works with that.

in pxtools when you you try to use editor it asks for a username and password my old password does not work its the same as my login for wildcat 7.454.6 but wont work so I need to figure out how to reset the password in pxtools also cant seem to get irex ver 2.99 to work like it did either when i try to run the batch screen comes up the disappears
no busy in sem file either just wont run anymore. It might be time just
to abandone 7.0 and go back to what worked before.

Actually this is not correct. For me, PX and Wildcat! accept the
password no matter what case I enter it in.
To use pxTools, the password in WINS must have all capital letters as when
you type the password in pxTools it will capitalize the letters.
So "password99" in pxtools & WINS will not work.
But "password99" or "PASSWORD99" in pxTools and "PASSWORD99" in WINS will ->work.
I beleive when Hector wrote PXW, WINS was not yet case sensitive.
Hector updated PXW to be able to installed on a 64 bit OS but has not updated ->the code for a long time.
Whether Hector has the time or inclination to update PXW would be be nice to ->know as there a few changes that could do with.

Irex v2.29 working fine here with Window 10 Pro 64bit
look at the irex logs for errors
are you running it in daemon mode? rexw -daemon
what do the semaphor files indicate?
Interesting. Will have to set up a test account and try that out. I
am still running with the last 8.0 beta that was released before Hector released a final version of 8.x to the masses.
It should have remained that way, IMO.
Yeah. Like adding binkp/d support into PXOnline. :)

As the co-ordinator of xpressnet, it would be good if you could get
some traffic flowing on possible fixes and updates to PXW.
If Hector sees some traffic, he may consider minor fixes / updates if
he thinks it may generate some sales.
The question is, is how can Hector see any traffic if he does not even carry it on his own BBS?
Hi Robert,
Good point.
Are you and Hector setup with each other for xpressnet?
If so what protocol is being used?
If so can you send Hector mail to 99:1.1?
Sorry for all the questions but trying to understand the situation.
The answer to this one is no, so the answer to the other questions will
be the same. However, when Hector and I were discussing this, he was wanting to exchange mail with me via FTP, which I can do, but have not done or had to do in quite some time.
That explains a lot.
That explains a lot.
And I try to bring it up to him, but he never really responds, so I am notsure
what the deal is with him.

Going to upgrade?
I inquired about getting a new PXW CD/DVD since the old one is
useless in 64bit OS but Andrea said you can only get the upgrade
through the AUP with WC. I'm not on the WC AUP. I did get an early
release from Hector for testing before the new PXW was released
maybe the version stamp wasn't changed at that time yet, the exe's
are dated 12/30/18 what date are yours?
