Excuse me, but I have no idea where that message dated 09-19-17, that
went out from my system yesterday, came from.
According to the text, my son changed to summer wheels on my car "today"
In fact this happened on April 12th 2017.
Is this what's called fake news??

No it doesn't :o(
In the original case a message posted in march, comes back in september!
That PATH is of course OK, but where has that message of mine been
stored six months and then released again six months later ??

ummm... i know you know this but VIA lines are only in netmail and

I would not call it fake, but I would call it old. :)

Your message Dated 09-28-17 came in a .QWK packet I grabbed from the
BBS on 10-17-17 at 3:04 PM EDT.
That is a long time for a message to wander through Fido's Network
before getting to where I could see it.
I saw Your message just after I grabbed the .QWK packet but got
confused about the Date it was sent and about the Date that You saw
and wrote about.
Here is what I found:
I (finally) found it by using MultiMail's Search Option and doing a
Full Text search for the Phrase - summer wheels.
I know that MultiMail includes a Color File that You Created, so You probably have used MM's Search Option to Hunt for something,
somewhere, that You remember seeing in a message but can't remember
which Packet it came in.
In case You haven't used the Search Option, let me bore You a bit
MM's Search will look through all of the .QWK files shown in MM
DOS's Opening Screen.
(MM's WIN version should probably have this Search Option too.)
MultiMail looks through all of the .QWK files that are in the List.
It (MM) Stops looking and shows the first results of the Search when
it finds the Text I entered.
It was just recently that I tried out MM's Search feature, and it
blew my mind when I saw how Quickly it looked through all of the
.QWK Packet files in the List.

it could be any one of those first four systems which narrows down
the "list of suspects" ;)
@PATH: 20/228 201/111 0 203/0 154/10 3634/12
you can see that this one arrived here via another path and that the
first four nodes are the same as above...
a question to be asked is is the old message a reprocessed message (rescanned?), a regurge, or a correction of misplaced
pkts/bundles...

I guarantee that it was not there when I carefully pasted it. (See
my reply to Ed.)

Ah, yes. I feel your pain. I have a BBS that I will not go
anywhere near for echomail stuff. I will not inflict it on others
either so I don't advertise it anywhere.

This time. What about the next. ;-)
... "Crunch!, snap!, crackle!, pop!" goes the infantry.
Good afternoon Paul,
First: I saw this morning on the TV that you have quite nice weather, at least temperature-wise, although you could do without the thunderstorm.
Last: The weather here is midday/afternoon temperatures in the single digit range (4-8°C), and sometimes, as today, roofs and cars are white due to frost in the morning.
On sunday I got the studded wheels on the car aided by my son. My hip is not fully recovered yet but still improving, although a surgeon told me
in august, not to expect any more improvement. I'm deluding him <BG>.
. Wise? Old? Me? Since when?
Yes, we've returned to normal average November temperatures. Just
over the last 7-10 days. It's nice, and is another favourite time
of year for me.
Just in passing and for no malicious forethought, I can offer you
this website link to our weather bureau's readings for
Maryborough...

White stuff... I've heard rumours of it. I don't even see it in my
new auto-defrosting frige freezer.

:) Good man.
My recipe is to keep moving as much as my body can take.

Good evening Paul,

And put to use yesterday. Very detailed tables at first look and I'll delve deeper into the site to possibly find more of interest.
The URL is now bookmarked so it's easy to jump in.
This one took a while getting here, mate. All the extra Santa mail
must be clogging the usual dog-sled routes. ;-)
Nice. That's what I'm at too. Testing the limits of life's
endurance, one day at a time. :)

That could be troublesome. They do inhabit oposite ends of the
Earth, don't they?
They are birds afterall. Lightweight & muscular, built for *burst*
flying even underwater.
Seals are a better payoff for the effort.
Good evening Paul,
Mmm... must be the moon phase 'out' slightly. This one of yours
caught my attention 10 mins ago. :)
Ah, yes. It might look a bit daunting but, really only the top
table and its top-most line are of any great use. It's the up-to-the-minute readings from the bureau's weather station.
The rest of the data covers at least the prior 24 hours, maybe
48 hours.
The URL is now bookmarked so it's easy to jump in.
I do it often from my mobile phone. (It uses my own LAN<-->wifi trasmitter.) Maybe 6-8 times during the day. That and the 'live'
rain radar, if there are storms in the vacinity. :)
I don't own one of those "computers in the pocket", just an old Nokia
that does what I want, phone calls and SMS messages, no pictures though.

Mine is an old Nokia E71, mate. The battery constantly fails if I
try to take voice calls.
out pictures or the odd small MP3 sound file downloaded via USB,
and, just needs recharging at the end of the day.
But I have to stop using it because all my complaining caused my
eldest daughter to buy me a new Android replacement. I keep putting
off 'activating' the new one because I like the Nokia so much. Sob,
sob... ;-)
Congratulations for the replacement. I had also ceased to use Windows since XPpro but after a Christmas gift from my eldest GS of a laptop
with Windows 10, I have accepted that version.

I see that I explained my phone's evolution badly. The "Android replacement" is the new phone. It's a fancy all singing-all dancing GUI-driven phone, for people gifted with tiny fingers.
I haven't initialized it on the 4G network yet. That's what I meant
by "activating", which is a term unfortunately M$ also uses for its
Windows products.
I'm still using the Nokia. But it may get turned off permanently on 1/1/18...
