    No. EDIT.COM is a 16-bit DOS application, technically.

    some one sent me xp edit. can some one send my vista 32 edit?

    I would recommend a program called Editpadlite. Web site is www.editpadlite.com . It is freeware for personal use.

    Have You looked in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 to see if Windows 7 has EDIT.COM
    already in Your computer?

    I have a XP and a Vista pc and EDIT is in their SYSTEM32 directories/folders.

    The file is part of the Operating System, afaik I can't send it to You
    and still be legal with Microsoft Corporation.

    Hope You can find it on Your copy of Windows 7.

    I have only had my hands on a WIN7 pc a few times to help someone, and
    I "think" I used EDIT.COM one time when helping them, but I could be wrong.
    I have been several times.

    its not included in the 64b and for those wondering i use this system
    currently for my editing machine and bbs. i need 64b for editing.
