• IE v.11

From Jean Parrot@1:123/789 to Holger Granholm on Friday, January 08, 2016 09:22:13

    GM, Sam.

The quickest way to get IE is to type it in the URL line at the top.

I forgot a pointer in my message to you, after you get to the File Explorer,
open the C:\ -> open Windows -> then open Windows.old if it is still there.

Also, if you open Edge, you might find the option to open IE, it was offered
to me here on my three machines running W-10. After running it, I right-clicked
on the icon on the Taskbar and selected to have it placed on it for ever and ever, amen ! Voilà ! Edge is prepositioned on the Taskbar.

Windows is still the same as before, just dressed up a little and mainly, it
was converted to smart-phones and tablets and x-Box. All of the old DOS commands still work, eg: I use Alt-F4 to shut down, Ctrl-A, Ctrl-X and ad infinitum. You should be at home with your knowledge of CLIs.

Days are getting longer already, we have gained 1° so far on the Sun. Another
    22° 26.1' before Spring.

    Be good. de VE2NIC.

Yes, Windows.old should be there, according to the donor, XMAS gift.

Yeah, Edge is on the task bar.

Oh well, tnx a million for all the good hints. It's soon time to print
out them all, and put them to use.

I have been so busy configuring the "new" BBS machine, that I haven't
had time to startup the laptop.

Days are getting longer already, we have gained 1° so far on the

Yes, here too and winter has arrived with -11° to -15°, and all that
white stuff that we wished for XMAS, and skiing. Right now it's -9°C
and more snow is coming down.

    Have a nice day,
