In your case, can I suggest to first make a clone of it all, then
go to that little start window on the left of the taskbar, one click
on it -> Settings -> Update & Recovery -> Recovery -> Reset this PC.
Remember that a clone will allow you to, after the fact, move any file/folder back from clone to main machine. I abuse this privilege
all the time, even from clone to another machine, not the source.
I am right, you can copy/move back any one file from a clone to the Source. I have done it. The another good thing in cloning, is that
empty space is not cloned, totally disregarded.
I do this too when I see this phantom partition created by W-10 at
the end of the C:\. I use Gparted and I will make it "deleted", it
then shows as Unallocated space and Acronis will not clone that
partition.
Granted, this copy to a non-source directory has to be data only,
any folder needing Registry contact is a no-go, you knew this.
Have a great day.
