I like Vivaldi browser, it uses the Chrome engine. I have political issues
with Google so I use that over Chrome.

If Vivaldi uses the Chrome engine it apparently is still connected to
    Google as is Chrome?

    Have a nice day,

it doesnt use many of the default services such as search engine.

I checked out the Vivaldi home page yesterday. Looks more like an Opera offshoot, but I could be wrong.

OK thanks for the info. Until May I used AVG Secure Search but after
a crashed M$ update of Win10 it has disappeared.

    Have a good night,

you mean it doesn't have any links to them *built in* with a search field... that's only a convienience thing... you're not forced to use them and don't even have to see them... in my firefox, i can easily remove them from the bar and manually go to which ever one(s) i want to use... i can also delete search engines from the list that i don't care to use... it is just convienience...
