  • BERR BinkP Error: Password mismatch

    Howdy everyone.
    I updated WP and now I get the error : BERR BinkP Error: Password mismatch
    and Winpoint disconnects. In File - Options - Uplinks - Properties -- Passwords the Sessions password is still in there but I do not receive anything. Where else do I need to check or set something? Little lost. Thanks for any advice.

    Generally, the handling of these passwords has not changed for many years, so I doubt the the WP upgrade is causing this.

    Did you check (in the log at the IDEN tag) that the password for the correct uplink is used?

    Also, anything special about your password (e.g., non-ASCII characters)?

    Thanks for coming back to me. Takes me some time to get to BBS mail. Sorry for the late response.
    I do not used any special characters in my password.
    check (in the log at the IDEN tag) , I do not know where the log file is saved.
    Could you point me to the folder?

    You find it int the "Reports" Area. There should be a hint, which uplink AKA is used for providing the password. Check that Uplink in the settings dialog for the password.
