• how to request an echo to the backbone...

can you please post how one is to make a request to the backbone to carry an echo? i don't have any messages that i can use as an example as this area has flushed down to none in it...

also, what to do if one doesn't have the elist response from the creation of the echo? due to the recent moving of machines, some stuff has not made it back
    via normal channels...

The official method is to have the elisted moderator send a copy of the response received from the elist robot to the NAB robot requesting that the echo be transported by the NAB.

Plus when you factor in the fact that the elist robot (and it's handler) are possibly broken, at least I see daily replies sent to me from submissions I
sent in once (on the 28th of each month), I'm not sure what to officially advise you.

However, if you simply asked me privately to transport the echo, it
    would happen. :)

I'm sure Ross, Brenda, and Janis would also follow suit.

BUT, maybe first check the latest release of BACKBONE.NA and see if it might still be listed. There've been no purges of it for well over a year.

copy of the response received from the elist robot to the NAB robot requesting that the echo be transported by the NAB.

ok... in the situation we're looking at, the response never made it back to the
moderator/creator... but the listing is in the elist...

also, what to do if one doesn't have the elist response from the
creation of the echo? due to the recent moving of machines, some stuff

    i know that feeling :(

hummm... i understand... would this be considered private transport or backbone
transport where everyone has access and it does show up in the NO/NA files?

BUT, maybe first check the latest release of BACKBONE.NA and
see if it might still be listed. There've been no purges of it for
    well over a year.

is that the official one that your system manages or the one that bedyneck's system does?

Then maybe cut and paste the appropriate parts and request the echo be carried in this echo?

    I'll add it to backbone.na.

Bedynek better not be issuing any file called backbone.na, he's neither in the NAB, nor authorized to do so. Use the one that the NAB Robot hatches whenever there's a change.
