    I'd put plainly in the rules that the echo isn't for religious debate, and keep it moderated to keep that sort of content out of it. And
    maybe make a second echo for religious debate, if people truly want to get into that sort of thing. That way everybody's happy, and no opinion has to be silenced. Questionable posts could also be moved to the
    debate echo, for all that goes, instead of deleting.

    I even have a disclaimer on my BBS that "users are NOT required to read, or use ANY of the Christian related items online". I added that "if you do decide to use these, I want it to be of your own free will and choice. What you do with the information is up to you".

    But, as I told Bill, I saw so much flaming in the Dove-Net Religion echo, that I quit carrying any of them. That was also one of the reasons I switched from Synchronet to Virtual Advanced.
